Guardian has been an original equipment manufactxurer (OEM) and original design manufacturer (ODM) of garage door components and operators for over 30 years. Guardian’s reputation is synonymous with quality and enjoys the privilege of supplying products to market leading OEMs and dealers in over 30 countries, spanning 6 continents.
While hardware and operator supply expanded through an exclusive distributor in the USA, Guardian focused on the Australian and European garage door operator and hardware markets. Guardian became, and remains, the leading supplier to door OEMs in Australia and New Zealand with its residential rolling door openers, sectional garage door openers, and rolling and section door hardware offerings. Pride is taken in being an exclusive component supplier to the largest European garage door manufacturer as well as the long-term relationships that have been built with large and small companies throughout the world.
In 2011, Guardian USA was established to directly serve North American garage door manufacturers, regional garage door distributors, and door dealers. The headquarters was opened in Santa Fe Springs, California along with an office and warehouse in Medley, Florida. In 2013, a Midwest office and warehouse was opened in the Chicago area.
In 2018, Guardian moved its US headquarters to El Segundo, CA but not for long.
2019 was a year of continued growth for Guardian. A new DC was opened in Dallas, TX. An R&D center was established in Hermosillo, Mexico. And the North American headquarters was moved to a central location in Richardson, TX to better serve its growing customer base. With distribution centers in Southern California, North Texas, in the Midwest, and on the East Coast, Guardian has committed to a sustainable growth plan in the USA and aims to further extend our services to our customers.

Guardian Access Corp. is the world’s most vertically integrated manufacturer of Garage door hardware and residential garage door operators. Steel stamping, plastic injection molding, steel rolling, bearing and roller manufacturing, cable sizing & cutting, electronics assembly, and garage door operator testing and assembly are all done in house. These manufacturing processes are being moved to a brand new 270,000 sq. ft. facility in Malaysia! Aluminum and zinc die-casting are also done in the Malaysia facility. All tooling is made in house to ensure component quality. Guardian employs over 650 in manufacturing roles, including 30 engineers.

Guardian garage door operators are designed and tested to strict UL325 standards. Products are tested by UL and ETL and the plant is regularly audited by these organizations for compliance.
Guardian is an active member of IDA & DASMA as well as active supporter of local associations such as WASA and CSDDA.
Guardian’s corporate headquarters is located in Taipei City, Taiwan. It is a global company with locations throughout the world, including: Shanghai, China, Johor, Malaysia, and Richardson, TX with distribution locations in Texas, California, Illinois, and Florida.
